I'm going to write mostly in English, but I will throw some Czech in as well for the hell of it.
Prague...where do I begin? how will it all end?
Every time I visit this place, I discover new places and revisit old ones. I absolutely love it! I am never bored here. All you have to do is take a walk and look up and around...those of you that have been to Prague understand what I mean. Doufám...
This summer I stayed at two locations in Prague. Two full weeks in Žižkov, and then almost three weeks in Holešovice. I rented the same flat I rented in 2015 because it is a nice flat with a great landlord, and I like this part of Žižkov. I will probably stay in this flat sometime in the future as well.
This is the view after I exist the flat and round the corner on a walk due south towards Vinohrady...usually to Ů Sadu. :-D
How can you not love the colors? How about the granite cubed sidewalks? This picture is burned into my mind. I know this view. Jsem v Praze.
After I walk up the hill about 200 meters I can see the TV tower. my first two visits to Prague in 2002 and 2008, I avoided the TV tower. On my next visit in 2012, I could not avoid it, and now I cannot imagine Prague without it. The babies crawling up and down the tower...it's too good to be true. :-D
I would usually arrive at the TV tower and then hang a right to get to Ů Sadu.
At Ů Sadu you can obtain an unfiltered nectar called "Sadek" as well as a large portion of pickled Hermelin cheese. I can have four of these 0.5 liter servings of nectar and the cheese for less than $10. Almost heaven.
The outdoor seating at Ů Sadu:
One of my bad habits is to have a beer here and listen to conversations in Czech and try and decipher them. Of course I also hear a lot of English spoken here. I try and speak only Czech here, but some of the waitstaff want to practice their English with me!
One waitress with whom I had only spoke Czech with twice on two prior occasions, was my waitress when I was with a two Czechs and three foreigners. She seemed amazed that I was speaking English. I guess I fooled her! :-D
